Futura Music Education
Music Education for teachers by teachers

Futura Music Education provides professional development for music educators with a focus on present and future technologies. We provide workshops that are designed to inform and update teachers with the latest music technologies and how to incorporate them into everyday classroom use. As Music teachers ourselves we understand the everyday demands on music departments and the limited time that we have to keep in touch with the latest available resources.

Workshops are offered at various levels and cover many aspects for getting technology up and running in your classroom including:

•exploring the latest technologies available and demonstrating practices that have successfully been tried and tested in the classroom and teaching studio

•advice on finding the technology requirements for your style of teaching and budget

•setting up software and hardware and how to solve common problems (especially when you have an entire class all encountering problems at the same time!)

•how to work with limited resources in group situations

•relating technology to composing, performing and analyzing music

  1. the process of audio recording using various software packages that are aimed at different ability levels

  2. how to design projects using score production and audio software

“I learned so much from those workshops, and have used much of it in my classroom. It was without doubt the best session I have been to – relevant and inspiring.” (J. Rennie - St Ursula’s College, Toowoomba)

“…your workshops provide the spark to lift my own game and work to open up new opportunities for kids in my neck of the woods.” (G.Minto, Mansfield SHS)
